MICROBEADS/GRANULES OF STEEL AND STAINLESS STEEL
The ferrous metal grit is used for shot peening. There are different types of spheres characterized by different grades of hardness and sphere shapes. The grades of sphere shapes are obtained via the use of the grits for various cycles in oder to reach the necessary roundness and hardness. The angular steel grit is generally used for cleaning and deburring details of steel or cast iron. There is also stainless steel grit austenitic to chrome nickel or martensitic to chrome only, produced via atomization of the fused steel followed by the size selection and mechanical treatment. While the Cr/Ni grit has bigger resistance to the rust, the Cr grit has a better mechanical action in terms of intensity because of its higher grade of hardness. CUT WIRE CYLINDERS OF STEEL AND STAINLESS STEEL
The cut wire is hi-tech product and is almost not used without beeing processed beforehand. The non-processed version has the same properties and use of the steel angular grit but with much higher costs. The cut wire is processed into 3 grades of roundness and is mainly used for shot peening. It is available in different grades of hardness and types of material, even stainless steel. The choice of cut wire depends on the type of shop peening treatment. For any further information please do not hesitate to contact us.
CAST IRON GRANULES
This grit has angular shape and is used for cleaning and deburring of the objects in steel or cast iron. It is a low cost grit. Thanks to its strong angularity, hardness and resistance to shatter the grit can be recycled many times. It has a limited range of use since the main area of use is the hard ferrous materials.
